“Sexy Little Black Dress”

Sexy Little black dress. How to wear a sexy little black dress. Where to find the best little black dress. Every woman’s wardrobe should include a little black dress. The black dress is a classic that never goes out of style. It can be worn to nearly every occasion and the dress can take a woman from the office to a special event with a few added details. These dresses are a must. However, I have found that finding the perfect little black dress is very difficult in spite of its popularity.

The perfect little black dress is quite understated. The dress should be relatively plain. This is what makes the dress valuable as a long term staple in a woman’s wardrobe. The dress should never be trendy it can however be sexy. You can always add accessories to update the dress. My favorite way to make your little black dress sexy is by using red accessories. It should never be dated in any way, shape or form. However, the dress should blend seamlessly into the trends of any decade.

sexy-little-black-dress1.jpg

The idea behind the little black dress is that it is a backdrop. People do not focus specifically on the dress. The ideal black evening dress serves as a foundation for the woman’s overall style. The beauty of the dress is its simplicity. People are more likely to notice those delicate pearl earrings or the subtle sparkle of a diamond necklace if the lady’s outfit is not competing with the dainty accessories. No one wants to spend hundreds of dollars on jewelry and accessories that go unnoticed.

The classic black dresses do come in a number of basic styles. Women who want an article that transitions from one season to the next may choose a dress that has a drop neckline and no sleeves. This style can be worn comfortably in the summer and a simple wrap or blazer can help transition the dress into the winter. More daring women select a dress with spaghetti straps. These sexy black dresses are ideal for the woman who keeps her arms in shape, but it can also serve as a garment that sets off the perfect jacket.

The little black dress that seems to be the most elusive is the one with sleeves. It is not common to come across a plain, black dress that has sleeves. This hard-to-find dress is an object of desire for many women who want the perfect little black dress that has all of the features of the sleeveless dress but provides ample coverage. The three-quarter sleeved and long sleeved dresses cannot always transition from one season to the next, but they are still very appealing to many women.

It is easy to find dresses with trendy details and splashes of color. Many designers put in a lot of effort to create unique, flashy styles that can turn the fashion industry on its ear, but nothing can replace the timeless little black dress. Even the phrase conjures images of sexy dressiness while maintaining a classic, elegance that can only be found through simplicity.

 Long Sleeve Dresses

There are many occasions that call for long sleeve dresses. Unfortunately, your chances of finding one are a little slim. For some reason all of the great styles seem to have short sleeves or no sleeves at all. This is fine for the summer months. However, there are some occasions that require long sleeve dresses.

Winter
is one of those times. If you want to find long sleeve dresses during this season you will have pretty good luck. That is if you like black. While the little black dress is ideal for just about every occasion some of us really want to arrive in color. Also, wearing black to a wedding just doesn’t seem right for some reason.

Then there is church. I love wearing long sleeve dresses when I am in this particular building. I just feel a little guilty and a lot naked when I arrive in church without sleeves. Unfortunately, I also don’t feel right wearing slacks and blouses each and every week to services. Long sleeve dresses just seem more appropriate in this particular setting.

We also have to consider style along with the setting. Basically, it used to be that long sleeve dresses were old fashioned and dowdy. It seemed as if manufacturers thought that women who wore long sleeve dresses were older and less likely to be attracted to updated fashion and interesting design.

As far as formal gowns are concerned long sleeve dresses were basically non-existent. That is unless you were looking for mother of the bride gowns. Many of these formal gowns offered sleeves. Bridesmaids were out of luck unless they purchased a wrap or jacket to go over the arms.

It seems as if fashion designers are beginning to recognize the interest that the average woman has in long sleeve dresses. Many manufactures are creating breathtaking outfits that provide great coverage as well as comfort. Women of all ages can appreciate the various styles and these dresses are designed for many different atmospheres.

Finding the right outfit can be a real hassle if you want to make a great impression. Nothing is more frustrating than finding a great item that lacks sleeves. Fortunately, trends seem to embrace all different preferences even if you are looking for long sleeves dresses.

Some places to find these items include retail giants like J C Penny and Macy’s Department store but I often find the best long sleeve dresses though Internet stores. Spiegel’s is my personal favorite. If you like to shop but hate looking for elusive items you might want to shop online.

brows1.jpg I talked a little about this in the fall 2007 makeup trends, but I justed wanted to say a little more. Bold brows are simply thick bows, meaning the penciled in, very thin brows are not longer sexy. Right now makeup overall is all about looking natural and light, so with that brows are standing out more. So ladies when it comes to brows this season remember that less is more when it comes to tweezing. if you have thin brows you can always fill them in, but don’t over do it. 2. High Drama Eyelashes
lashes.jpg

Big Dramatic Lashes are big this fall 2007 season. To add more volume to your lashes play them with with fake lashes, or try a curler. To get the best results with curler try boosting the curl by blasting it with a few seconds with hot air from your hair dryer before using. Then dot a black pencil along your lash lines to get spare spaces. Lastly take your mascara and avoid clumps by wiping the wand with a tissue to remove excess color.

3. Reverse French Manicure

french-tip.jpg

This season’s hottest manicure involves the reverse of the usually French Manicure.
Instead of the typical pink nail, it’s replaced with a black color with the tips being white. Make sure if you are trying this style that you don’t put too much white on the tip, this can create a domino effect in the nail.

3. Nature Inspired Necklaces

nature-necklace.jpg

Necklaces that feature nature are a great choice for fall. Everyone is going green right now so nature is very important to our culture. So why not wear jewelery showcasing that. Other great necklaces include animals like owl’s and turtles. Make your necklace stand out more by wearing solid colors.

5White HangBags

chloe-white-handbag-25008l-03gif.jpg

White Handbags works great with this season’s earth tone colors of fall. Make sure that your bag is a heavy material such as leather, and not a softer lighter fabric like you would have for summer.

6. Long Gloves

long-gloves.jpg

One trend that I have been waiting to come back around. Long gloves will give your arms a leaner appearance and you can wear and style them with jeans, short sleeve shirt, a black dress, or a sleeveless shirt. They look great in satin and in leather.

7. Floaty Blouse

topshop-floaty-blouse.jpg

Floaty style blouses are very feminine and girly. If you have a stomach you can hide it with a wider style floaty blouse, and if you want to draw attention to your face then choose details that are around the neck. This is great if you want someone to notice your pretty face.

8. Lingerie(romper)

sexy-romper.gif

Ladies if you’re looking for exotic lingerie for this fall then try a romper. Its comfortable and it allows you to be sexy at the same time.

9. Snood Style Hats

snood_hats.jpg

40’s style as we know are very hot for fall 2007 . Snood hats are very feminine, and they keep your head nice and warm for fall. If you’re having a bad hair day you can still look stylish if you choose to wear this hat throughout the day. With these style hats don’t overdue it with accessories. Keep it simple.

10. Belted Coats

bealted-coat.jpg

Belted style coats are a great look for fall and winter 2007/2008. The belted coat emphasis the waist which is a great trend for fall . Its makes you look polished, feminine and well put together.

11. Stacked Shoe with Wooden Heel

stacked.jpg

Stacked Heels are very in this season. That great platform will look wonderful with your wide leg style pants becuase of that extra added height.

12. Sweater Dress

sweater-dress.jpg

Here are three different ways in which you can wear this trend for fall. If you have a tiny waist emphasis it with a wide or large belt. If you want to wear it with high boots make sure you leave enough room to show off your legs in between. You can wear it over jeans, leggings or tights.

13. Leather Cuff Bracelets

leather-cuff.JPG

Looking for a bit of an edge this fall 2007? Leather style cuffs are great accessories that will give you just a hint of a wild side.

14. Colored Jeans

colored-jeans.jpg

Are one of this seasons biggest trends. If you’re into skinny jeans stay away from bright colors. Wide leg pants look good with color as well as the boot cut. To make your colors pop even more pair them with black, white, or another solid color.

15. Ankle Bootie Boots

ankle-boots.jpg

Ankle style bootie boots are this season biggest biggest trend. So if you haven’t purchase any yet, then go to the store right now. The best way to wear this style boot is with very sheer opaque tights, and skirts. I don’t care what anyone is saying never pair them with skinny jeans or straight legs. This only looks tacky, tights will showcase the shape of the heel and the style of the shoe better. Never wear them with solid color tights.

“MINI DRESSES”

In the world of fashion, styles come and go and then come back again. It may take decades, but you’ll see them again. In fashion, designers do, after all, want to offer something new each year to tempt their customers to buy this new fashion. As cuts and styles vary from year to year, hemlines tend to stay more stable, remaining de rigeur for a number of years. Hemline trends tend to follow patterns describing what’s going on on in the world. This is just what happened with the mini dress and skirt revolution of the early 1960’s.

Zero-G Weightless Flight Experience for 10 people

Economies were prospering, we were not yet at war in Vietnam and people were feeling pretty good about life. A young designer named Mary Quant, selling her fashions out of a small shop in the hip Chelsea district of London, put the mini dress and mini skirt on the international fashion map.

It’s generally agreed that the mini dress and skirt began with Mary Quant’s drawings of the short concept in the late 50’s, and were first a fashion must as “street clothes” for the Chelsea hip crowd.

Whether it was an accident or by design, the mini was an instant hit, quickly spreading from London to all over the world.

There are a few other designers, including Andre Courreges, the haute couture French designer, who launched the mini dress and skirt look into the arena of public and international respectability. He associated his white thigh-high “Courreges boot” with his mini dress look thus gaining distinction in his particular take of the Mod statement.

When Diana Riggs showed up in mini dresses on the 1965 hit “The Avengers”, this popularized the mini dress even more, making the Mod fashion style an institution.

Supermodel Jean Shrimpton made headlines when she attended an Australian event wearing a short white mini dress. That and the fact that hat and gloves were not part of her ensemble nearly created a scandal in 1965 Australia.

The rule of thumb defines a mini dress or skirt as one whose hemline is at least seven inches above the knee. This being the case, it was not possible to wear the regular stockings and garters with the mini. Therefore, tights and pantyhose, often in exotic colors, patterns and embellishments became all the rage.

Popularity of the mini didn’t start to fade until the mid 1970’s, when the mid-calf and maxi lengths came (back) into style.

Now here we are in 2007, and the mini dress is once again being flaunted on the runways as a new hot fashion trend. If you’re young and have got the legs for it, these are good looking clothes!

“The Little Black Dress”

When women think of classic fashions, the little black dress, also known as the LBD, is sure to come to mind. Every woman has at least one. Some have many. The little black dress is a wardrobe staple, one of the most versatile pieces of clothing you can own. Spanning the entire breadth of fashion and all seasons and occasions, it’s one piece of clothing no woman should be without. The LBD has stood firm in the fashion industry for the best part of a century.

We have Coco Chanel, of the House of Chanel, to thank for this revolutionary classic. Coming out of the Victorian days of long, layered, voluminous, fussy and uncomfortable fashions, Coco Chanel’s little black dress was a fresh breath of comfort and chic in a single universally appealing garment. Chanel’s creation became an instant and amazing success in the fashion world.

The LBD has adapted throughout the decades to changing hemlines, fabrics, cuts and accessories, not just surviving but reigning on the very short list of women’s must-have clothing. Hollywood luminaries, including Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn immortalized the little black dress.

Your little black dress is a chameleon of fashion, at home and up-to-date in just about any setting, given the right accessories.

WHERE YOU CAN WEAR YOUR LITTLE BLACK DRESS: Cocktail Dress with Sash

o For office wear or a business lunch, low-heeled pumps, an Italian silk scarf and a gold bracelet render an elegant and unfussy appearance. Tres chic!

o A date at the ballet calls for some sparkle – gold or silver jewelry, belts, scarves, hair or shoe ornaments, a beaded or sequined shawl lends a sophisticated feel to the ensemble. Key to a show-stopping look is less is more. A single spectacular pendant diamond necklace and matching earrings will do the trick.

o Clubbing? Here’s an open frontier for the little black dress. Dig out those red stilettos and the jewel-toned belt. Maybe a red lamé bolero as a wrap will finish the look.

o What about shopping? If you’re shopping for jewelry, jackets, coats, shoes or hats, the LBD is the perfect backdrop. It goes with everything, and lets you see the possibilities of whatever fashion partner you have in mind. The fabulous magenta velvet hat just won’t show so well with your pleated plaid skirt. The little black dress offers the latitude of vision you need to see the virtues of that Renaissance-style necklace, or faux-fur jacket that would simply not be apparent with a turquoise linen pantsuit.

The LBD is also great for homecoming dresses, prom if worn with the right accessories, it can make the perfect cocktail and evening dress.
The little black dress flatters every body type, shape and size. Black is slimming and trims many a fault away. The longevity of this fashion item is well deserved and earned. Millions of women have relied on this simple but revolutionary creation of Coco Chanel for almost a century. So, if you don’t have one, get one. Long sleeved, short sleeved or sleeveless, the little black dress is history and the future in one sublime piece of women’s fashion.
